What Shaped My Marketing Perspective
My marketing perspective has been shaped by a deep curiosity about people — how they communicate, express identity, build trust, and connect with brands through culture, emotion, and experience.
Studying abroad, backpacking, and traveling independently taught me to pay attention to the details that shape consumer behavior: place, community, lifestyle, values, aesthetics, and storytelling. That global perspective influences how I approach marketing today — with a focus on listening first, understanding the audience, and creating strategy that feels thoughtful, relevant, and human.
Where Experience Meets Insight
I’ve turned my interest in people, culture, and connection into hands-on marketing experience through entrepreneurship, client content creation, and hospitality social media management. As the founder of Rings By Alexa, I built and relaunched a handmade jewelry brand from the ground up, developing its brand identity, website, product photography, social media presence, email marketing, launch strategy, and customer experience. That experience taught me how to create a brand that feels personal, consistent, and emotionally connected to its audience.
I’ve also expanded my marketing experience through Down Right Media and social media management for hospitality brands, creating content for 25+ businesses and supporting restaurants, nightlife, events, and local audiences. Combined with nearly seven years in customer-facing hospitality roles, these experiences have strengthened my ability to listen, understand what people respond to, and create marketing that feels both strategic and human.
